Have a Sexless Marriage? Tips to Fix it
Many couples lose the passion in their relationship sooner or later. In some cases, one partner may no longer be interested in having sex. If you and your spouse don't have sex anymore, it signals a deeper problem in your relationship. Although it's possible to get sex back into your marriage, you may have to address the other problems in order to do so. In order to analyze everything properly, you'll need to lose your own emotions and feelings of rejection.
Never tackle the problem by wallowing in self-pity because you feel you're the blame for your sexless plight. You should look at both sides of the situation. Obviously it wasn't like this when you first got married. Think back and try to determine what the differences are between your marriage then and now. After doing so, hopefully you'll find the issues that you two need to address. And it's all up to you. Obviously your spouse doesn't feel the desire or the courage to face the issues head on, but you do. Doing this will help make you a stronger person indeed.
Look inside your marriage for answers, too. You both could be doing these to cause problems. Children can certainly change things and add extra stress. Anything that takes time away from the relationship can cause problems such as work. If you two have no contact, your marriage can't be successful. When this happens, you two will only grow apart. The only way to work things out is to start talking. You won't fix things by casting blame. Start showing interest in what your spouse is doing and listen when he or she answers.
A sexless marriage doesn't have to remain so. That spark that the two of you once had is still there under the baggage that life has loaded you down with. It's your responsibility to make things happen and look to the future. There's no way to replicate the past, but if you see the future positively as an adventure and embark upon it together, you're going to discover that the passion is still there, and your relationship will no longer be sexless. (Mis)recognition, Social Inequality and Social Justice $41.95 Nancy Fraser's work provides a theory of justice from multiple perspectives which has created a powerful frame for the analysis of political, moral and pragmatic dilemmas in an era of global capitalism and cultural pluralism. It has been developed through dialogue with key contemporary thinkers, including an extended critical exchange with Axel Honneth that touches importantly upon the work of the late Pierre Bourdieu on social suffering. This collection of essays considers some of the conceptual and philosophical contentions that Fraser's model has provoked and presents some compelling examples of its analytical power in a range of contexts in which the politics of social justice are at issue, including the politics of justice in South Africa, and social policy. It includes essays on queer theory and the paradoxical effects of gay marriage and civil partnerships on the imbalance in the social composition of UK parliamentary representation, and on the significance of class. |

...and Gulliver Returns Book 4 A Look at Human Values $0.01 In Book 4 this series, prompted by questions that arose from their visit to Kino, Gulliver and his friends visit with a professor of ethics at the University of Kino. she explains how values, such as ethical values, are developed. They are all based on non-provable basic assumptions which are either self-centered, God based or society based. She goes into some detail looking at the various approaches to what God might be and to some considerations for an ideal society. She then looks at the various sources of evidence that people use in selecting their values, such as: empirical, historical and evidence comes from authorities such as Kings, parents and popes. At the end of their discussion she takes a number of ethical problems, such as: capital punishment, abortion, contraception, torture, gay marriage and several other common ethical questions. She shows that from each basic assumption (God, self, society) depending on the evidence used, just about every value question can be seen as ethical or unethical. So values are not as clear as our pastors and politicians would like us to believe. |
