The entire world is aware of concerning the ability of Facebook, and that is why it's such an unimaginable place to find your audience and obtain in front of them. The power of Facebook applications, or apps, is stronger than ever right now, but it's not thus cut and dry and simple, and you have to really grasp what's happening to use them effectively.
Your Screenshots Must Be Convincing: If you want people to choose your app among all the others out there, you have to provide them with screenshots and icons that will convince them to try it. You have to communicate the value of your app with your screenshot, so that people will immediately see that it's worth using. Don't release your app until you have some great screenshots ready to show people. Create screenshots that show your app in action; it's not enough to only show an image. The users want to feel/see what the app will do for them before they take out the time to use it. There is no need to get bogged down with the technical stuff, so you can pay a programmer to make you what you need. Instructions or guidelines for use will make your app more popular as will your landing page for it. It is very important that your content is up to par, at least for roughly 10 to 15 minutes worth for your audience. People seem to like having their own personal history archive, so have that programmed into it, too. Your marketing knowledge will come in handy because you need to have enough content to make people want to stay with it and keep using it.
Make sure you're recording the number of users that are using your app start from day one of its launch. Just do this, and then after a while you can use the stats for various reasons. You should be organized with this record keeping especially if you have more than one app. If you do your research and testing, there's no reason why you can't create a Facebook app that's a great success, but before you move forward make sure your app does everything that you promise.
